LOUISE LIEBER

These paintings were started when we lived in a remote cabin, surrounded by the redwood forest, in the Santa Cruz Mountains, in California. We shared the wilderness with many birds, deer and an occasional bob cat or coyote. Now we live in New Smyrna Beach, a great art town in North Florida on the Atlantic coast. It is a different landscape yet equally delightful. Tall pines are silhouetted against the sky. We see the changing patterns of light through the day. My husband feeds carrots to the horses across the shell road, hawks and sandhill cranes visit.
